Estudio estratigráfico y de facies del yacimiento de icnitas de dinosaurios Sol de la Pita 1 en el Cretácico Inferior de la Cuenca de Cameros (Préjano, La Rioja, España)

Resumen


Los sedimentos estudiados, en su mayor parte de naturaleza carbonatada, pertenecen al Grupo Enciso (Secuencia Deposicional 7 de edad Barremiense superior—Aptiense inferior). Las facies y las asociaciones de facies presentes en la columna estratigráfica de Sol de la Pita (Préjano) sugieren la presencia de un medio lacustre carbonatado. Las huellas fósiles se encuentran mayoritariamente aisladas y han sido producidas por dinosaurios terópodos, ornitópodos y saurópodos. Estos últimos están representados solamente por la impresión de una huella de mano cuya morfología sugiere que su autor pertenecía al clado Titanosauriformes. Aunque modesto en extensión y en número de icnitas, Sol de la Pita 1 es un ejemplo muy interesante de la icno-diversidad dinosauriana típica de los ecosistemas continentales del Cretácico de la Cuenca de Cameros.
