Resumen


La evaluación estocástica de la productividad de arcillas gasíferas se ha hecho hasta ahora usando estadística clásica, sin considerar la ubicación de pozos, la correlación espacial de los datos, ni la dependencia entre variables. Hemos usado simulación secuencial para explorar las supuestas bondades de un modelaje más integral, eliminando tales simplificaciones e incluyendo dependencia entre productividad, espesor neto y reflectancia de la vitrinita. Valiéndonos de la arcilla Woodford en Oklahoma, ilustramos prácticamente el modelaje y despliegue de resultados, los que incluyen histograma de recursos probables y mapas tanto de posibles producciones como de probabilidades de alcanzar ciertos niveles de productividad.
