Based on the documentation generated by the Peñarroya’s Mining Hospital, linked to the namesake society, several partial reports have been published in the latest years. According to this line of work, we present now this paper, based on an analysis of 39.000 cases of reported industrial accidents. Injuries are classified in 24 extensive study groups, and its variations are analyzed and explained using two different groups of factors following an observation period. These are: Changes in the Risks Structure, and Changes in Casualty Assistance and Occupational Risks management. The distributions of casualties are also shown in relation to each unit of the mining-industry and some mining position. More than half of the injuries are related to blows and contusions, reducing its presence in time due to the increasing significance of other type of less visible and immediate ones, being minimal the mentions for hernias. Blows and contusions are especially substantial among the miners, being burns significantly relevant among the metallurgic industry workers, as well as skin conditions in those in the chemical industry.
